Jill Biden: testing Biden’s mental competency is ‘ridiculous’

Jill Biden, First Lady of the United States, stated that President Joe Biden would be there. “never even discuss” The idea of taking a test to determine your mental competence was suggested by Nikki Haley, presidential candidate.

Haley is who announced her candidacy In February of this year, he proposed the creation of a competency exam for all politicians over 75.

CNN interviewed the First Lady to find out if the President would like to take such a test as he turns 82 at the time of his inauguration.

“It’s ridiculous, we would never even discuss something like that,” She said. “How many 30-year-olds could travel to Poland, get on the train? Go nine more hours, go to Ukraine, meet with President Zelenskyy? So, look at the man. Look what he’s doing. Look what he continues to do each and every day.”

Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), had previously criticized the concept of competency testing, calling it ageist. Sanders claims that the test does not determine competence.

“We are fighting racism. We’re fighting sexism. We’re fighting homophobia. I think we should also be fighting ageism,” In February, he spoke to CBS during an interview. “Trust people, look at people, and say, ‘You know, this person is competent. This person’s incompetent.’ There are a lot of 40-year-olds out there who ain’t particularly competent.”

Joe Biden (80-years old) is the oldest serving president of the United States. His abilities to perform his duties have been continually questioned.

Although the president previously stated that he would run again for another term, he has yet to make an announcement. According to the First Lady, he has made his decision and she is supporting him.

“It’s Joe’s decision,” She said. “We support whatever he wants to do. If he’s in, we’re there. If he wants to do something else, we’re there too.”
