Jim Caviezel, the renowned actor, expressed his gratitude to supporters for their unwavering support of his new film, “Sound of Freedom,” which sheds light on the horrors of human trafficking. In his reflection, Caviezel expressed his admiration for the Americans who are fighting against the greatest evil in the world and supporting the cause. He reiterated that God’s children are not for sale and thanked everyone for their role in reaching two million tickets sold. He also commended them for not allowing the media to silence their voices.
Jared Geesey, Angel Studios’ senior vice president of global distribution, had previously set a goal to get two million people into theaters during the opening week to honor the two million children who fall victim to trafficking each year.
Surpassing expectations, the film led the box office on its opening day, July 4, surpassing Disney’s highly-anticipated “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny” and other films, according to Box Office Mojo.
In “Sound of Freedom,” Caviezel portrays Tim Ballard, a federal agent who resigns from his job to embark on a perilous mission to rescue a young girl from sex slavery in South America.
