Joe Biden Celebrates Another Historic Failure

President Joe Biden, 79, made history over the weekend by falling off his bicycle in front of a bunch of cheering supporters with cameras. It was one of the most pathetic and embarrassing catastrophes suffered by an American president since our country’s founding.

On Monday, the president celebrated another momentous failure by becoming the most unpopular commander in chief in recorded history. Biden’s job approval rating—39.8 percent according to FiveThirtyEight’s polling average—is the lowest for an American president at this point in his first term since Gallup began collecting job approval data during the Harry S. Truman administration.

For the sake of context, Biden is now roughly 30 percentage points less popular than George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush were at this point in their respective presidencies. He is less popular than Donald Trump, Jimmy Carter, and Richard Nixon were after their first 517 days in office. He just fell off a bicycle, and will celebrate his 80th birthday in November after his party gets annihilated in the midterm elections, which explains why so many Democrats don’t want Biden to run for reelection in 2024.

Biden’s historic achievement comes less than two weeks after American deaths from COVID-19 on his watch surpassed 600,000, which is more than twice the number of U.S. soldiers who lost their lives in World War II.
