Joe Biden Turns The American Government Into Wokeness, Inc.

The Biden administration released a few-noticed executive orders last week as Presidents Day approached. This executive order was one of the most significant and transformative in American history. It transformed the federal government into a giant machine for spreading woke principles. The so-called “Executive Order On Further Advancing Racial Equity And Support For Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government” – presumably titled in jargonistic gobbledygook in order to avoid scrutiny – set out the key guiding principle for the Biden administration. This principle. “equity,” The entire federal government’s extraordinary powers will be redirected.

Tell me, please. “equity”? It certainly isn’t equality – the presumption that Americans ought to be treated equally under the law as individuals. Equity presumes that any group disparities have to be due to perverse government policy and that government interventionism can correct it. According to the new executive order, “by advancing equity, the Federal Government can support and empower all Americans, including the many communities in America that have been underserved, discriminated against, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.” The root cause of poverty, as you can see, is discrimination and a lack of services. Individuals cannot be held responsible for their failures. Cultural differences can also justify underperformance in groups. IbramX. Therefore, the solution is for government to correct any policy that perpetuates the frustratingly permanent human condition of inequality and poverty. Biden’s executive orders require equity to be “embedded … into the fabric of Federal policymaking and service delivery.” It will not be an exception. “one-time project”It must be an alternative. “multi-general commitment, and it must remain the responsibility of agencies across the Federal Government.” Almost every government agency must have one. “Agency Equity Team … to coordinate the implementation of equity initiatives.” Equity must be promoted in every aspect of government, from the design and development of artificial intelligence to acquisition. 

Nothing gives the United States president the unilateral authority of transforming the entire executive branch into an agent. “equity.” This is a legislative function and the legislature has not granted such power. Biden does it anyway. And that means stacking – presumably for generations to come – a Deep State of “equity”-Left-wing bureaucrats in the federal government that are driven by the equity agenda. They systematize the equity agenda across all unelected and unanswerable parts of the executive branch.

This is dangerous, and it should be stopped. It is violative of Constitutional principles, both in terms of separation of powers and under the equal protection clause – which is designed to prevent precisely the sort of group-driven resource allocation Biden favors. The Republican House must make stopping this executive order a priority, as well as future Republican presidential hopefuls. 

Biden has deliberately planted a poisonous plant in the fertile soil that is the most powerful executive branch of the United States. The years will bring forth horrendous results from that seed. It is best to remove the seed from the ground before it sprouts.
