Durham’s probe into Trump-Russia collusion is done.
Special Counsel John Durham’s Report on Trump-Russia Collusion Investigation is Finished
Exciting news! Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the investigation into Trump-Russia collusion during the 2016 election is finally finished. According to reports, the full report will be released at 4 p.m. EST today.
What’s in the Report?
Chuck Ross from The Washington Free Beacon reported that the 320-page report is dropping soon and he has already obtained a copy. One interesting finding is that the FBI ended one aspect of its investigation after a “longtime and valuable confidential human source” made an “improper and possibly illegal campaign contribution” to the Clinton campaign on behalf of a “foreign entity.”
Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of The Federalist, also obtained a copy of the report. According to Davis, Durham concluded that “neither U.S. nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”
However, Durham gave a harsh review of the FBI, stating that “the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”
Key Takeaways:
- The report is 320 pages long
- The FBI ended one aspect of its investigation due to an improper campaign contribution
- No actual evidence of collusion was found at the start of the investigation
- The FBI failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law
Stay tuned for the full report release at 4 p.m. EST!
