John Kerry Sold His Wife’s Family Jet. He Should Have Destroyed It Like A ‘Cash For Clunkers’ Car.
Envoy to the Special Climate John Kerry apparently sold his wife’s family jet last summer after much scrutiny over his gas-guzzling habits. The sale doesn’t quite make sense, because the plane is still in existence and flying around the world. That raises the question, why didn’t he destroy it like it was one of those “cash for clunkers” Are there cars from the Obama era
That opening should not be taken as a dig at Kerry’s gold-digging ways. He may be a millionaire many times over because he wifed-up his ex-Senate colleague John Heinz’s widow, but it was his spokesperson who made it known that the controversial aircraft in question had been traded for some sweet moolah from an unknown buyer actually wasn’t in Kerry’s name.
“Secretary Kerry travels commercially in his role as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,” Whitney Smith, Kerry’s spokeswoman, Telled Fox News. “I can confirm the plane previously owned by his wife’s family was sold last summer.”
According to reports, the plane was sold to a New York-based hedge funds.
As Fox News first reported over the summer, Kerry’s jet had emitted more than 715,800 pounds of CO2 over 48 trips since he became the Special Climate Envoy.
Kerry has stated that he was defending his trips in the past by claiming that the private plane was the only way for someone like him to travel around the globe. Fox News reported that Kerry abandoned it after being criticised.
However, it seems that the jet is still being used by somebody — which means that Kerry’s decision to sell it really does not matter. It’s still producing CO2.
Had Kerry actually cared about reducing emissions, he would have destroyed it and used the parts for a wind turbine or maybe a modern art exhibit to be sold alongside Hunter Biden’s artwork.
Come to think of it, why doesn’t Kerry restart an elite version of “Cash for Clunkers?” Some readers may have enjoyed the program that took thousands off the roads in exchange for government money. According to one report, almost 700,000 cars were exchanged under this program. The program was expensive at $3 billion, and James Gilboy, of TheDrive, described it as being pretty useless in fighting climate change.
“[Cash for Clunkers]’s effect on U.S. fleet fuel consumption was further diluted by subsequent years of record car sales: since 2010, over 185 million new cars have been sold in the U.S. according to Axelwise,” Gilboy was still alive as of August 2022.
So the reality on the ground — and in the sky for that matter — is that leftist policies to reduce emissions have always failed.
But we know Kerry doesn’t view it that way. I flew to Davos To congratulate himself and his millionaire buddies. He exclaimed to his colleagues at The World Economic Forum that they should consider themselves real-world Supermen.
“When you stop and think about it, it’s pretty extraordinary that we — a select group of human beings because of whatever touched us at some point in our lives — are able to sit in a room and come together and actually talk about saving the planet,” Kerry was elated at the WEF. “I mean, it’s so almost extraterrestrial to think about ‘saving the planet.’”
Kerry added: “If you said that to most people, most people would think you’re just a crazy, tree-hugging, leftie, liberal do-gooder … but really that’s where we are.”
Kerry appears to have no interest in reducing carbon emissions based on his actions. He cares more about money. He’s smart enough to know that the rest of the world cares about cold hard cash as well, because he told that same group that what is needed for green energy to take hold around the globe is, “money, money, money, money, money.”

Money is the key to moving the world. Who woulda-thunk? What should we be moving towards? A green energy utopia that will never come while regular citizens who can’t afford outrageous energy costs and electric vehicles suffer — but he always seems to leave that part out.
