Josh Allen Responds To ‘Damar Hamlin Body Double’ Conspiracy Theory

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen On Tuesday, he had a good time when he was asked about a conspiracy theory circulating that claimed a body double was filled in. Damar Hamlin Sunday’s Bills game.

“Would you like to debunk that conspiracy theory, or maybe even confirm?” Allen was interviewed on an episode of the podcast “Kyle Brandt’s Basement.”

“Yeah, that’s stupid,” The quarterback laughed.

“One, that’s Damar’s swag,” Allen said of Hamlin’s covered face and sunglasses. “He likes wearing that.”

“Two, he was in the locker room with us pre-game. So, yes that was Damar,” He said. “There’s absolutely zero chance. That’s the Damar Hamlin, that’s our guy, that’s our brother. He was with us pre-game, post-game, he was up in the suite with his family, his little brother, 100%.”

Allen added, “So, people need to stop that s***.”

Hamlin suffered After a tackle against Cincinnati Bengals in the first quarter of an NFL match on January 2, cardiac arrest occurred. The game was temporarily suspended, and eventually canceled. After the collapse, Hamlin was taken to the hospital by medical professionals who performed CPR. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was put under sedation while in critical condition.

Following a hit against the Bengals, Damar Hamlin experienced cardiac arrest. His heartbeat was reestablished on the field, and he was then transferred to the UC Medical Center where he will be treated and tested for more. He is currently listed as critical and is sedated.

Hamlin was finally transferred In Buffalo to be treated and released for recovery at home. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Hamlin was last week at the practice facility “almost daily” It is “just trying to get back to a little bit of a routine.”

“That’s good news,” McDermott told The press. “He comes in and really just started — really today or yesterday — and just trying to get back to a little bit of a routine and getting himself acclimated again and taking it one step, you know, baby step at a time here.”

It’s unclear when Hamlin will return to the field, though it certainly won’t be this season. On Sunday, the Bills suffered a 27-10 loss to Cincinnati Bengals.
