During a recent episode of ”The View,” co-host Joy Behar passionately criticized Fox News for repeatedly showing videos of President Joe Biden’s stumbling, falling, and struggling with his speech. Behar suggested that this coverage by the cable news giant was responsible for creating the perception that Biden is too old for a second term.
Behar’s comments came in response to co-host Sunny Hostin’s defense of Biden, arguing that he should be respected as an elder rather than criticized for his age.

The conversation was sparked by a comment from former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who referred to the U.S. Senate as “the most privileged nursing home in the country” and called for competency tests for aging politicians.
Hostin, who has been critical of Haley in the past, expressed her offense at the remarks, stating, ”Ageism offends me. It’s very different than in other cultures where we value age and we value wisdom.”
Hostin further argued that imposing age or term limits on older politicians could potentially allow less qualified candidates to take their place. However, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin disagreed, citing a poll from The Wall Street Journal that revealed 73% of respondents were concerned about Biden’s age.
Behar interjected, questioning the influence of Fox News in shaping public perception by continuously highlighting Biden’s stumbling incidents. Hostin attempted to shift the focus to former President Donald Trump, mentioning his weight and age as well.
But co-host Ana Navarro came to Biden’s defense, asserting that he is in “very good physical shape” and expressing her confusion over why people are fixated on his age.
