Judge Tosses Case Against Guards Who Killed Woman for Not Wearing a Mask in Canada

A woman was killed by security officers at a Toronto hospital in March 2020. While suffering from breathing problems, they did not pull up a mask.

They were originally charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence, but a judge has tossed the case because … reasons.

There isn’t much dispute about what happened, although one of the guards involved intentionally turned a security camera away from the scene of the crime as it was happening, and another lied to police about what happened. After being shown security footage that contradicted his statements, he later admitted to lying to investigators.

That’s OK though. He said sorry, and he apologized. “I would have never said the things I said in there if I knew there was a video.” It’s all good. That’s some world-class remorse.

This case appears to be fairly straightforward. Danielle Stephanie Warriner, a COPD sufferer, was admitted to the hospital because of, not surprising, her breathing difficulties. After being admitted, she was seen in the hallway wearing PPE. Due to her breathing difficulties, she had reduced her mask. Guards approached her to force her to wear a mask. She didn’t comply, again presumably because she had trouble breathing.

Guards put on PPE, made her wear the mask and then threw the woman against the wall. While claiming that she struck them first, the video shows that this wasn’t true.

Just after she is thrown to the wall, another guard redirects camera away from incident and hides what was going on. He “panicked,” so turning the camera away clearly didn’t show any consciousness of guilt, right?

Witnesses claim that she was thrown to the ground by the guards. They also held her in the exact same manner as George Floyd (knee to her back with body weight). She had not taken methamphetamine or fentanyl. As she stated, she was a woman of 125 pounds with breathing problems.

While she was unconscious, they handcuffed her and held her down using a knee to her back. She stopped breathing. She stopped breathing and was put into a wheelchair. She died shortly after her injuries and was never fully conscious again.

She was killed by the guards. A woman suffering from respiratory distress in a hospital hallway was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Oh, Canada!

They were arrested and are awaiting trial, but an Ontario judge made them appear. unusual decision to toss the case, surprising nearly everybody.

Amanda Rojas-Silva, 42, and Shane Hutley, 35, had been charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence in Warriner’s death — charges they denied, saying they used only the force necessary to gain a hold of her.

Now, those charges have been dropped after a judge concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to take the case to trial — a decision CBC News has learned the Crown won’t appeal.

That’s despite the available video footage, two security staff who testified the accused placed weight on her upper body while she was held chest down, a forensic pathologist who testified Warriner would still be alive had she not been restrained that day — and revelations one of the guards admitted he falsely claimed Warriner threw the first punch.

There is video footage of her guards beating her and using excessive force to restrain and arrest her. A pathologist testified she would have survived without their actions. The video and facts of this case are now being used in training and as an example of what happens. Not to do.

A coroner’s report would conclude Warriner died from a brain injury resulting from a lack of oxygen “due to restraint asphyxia following struggle and exertion,” With her underlying lung disease, a possibility factor.

“But for her interaction with the Applicants, Ms. Warriner would likely be alive today,” According to the Crown the Crown, the forensic pathologist was present at the preliminary hearing.

The accused’s lawyers argued that the forensic pathologist did not have the expertise to reach this conclusion.

Superior Court Justice Sean Dunphy observed that the case was quashed. “There is evidence that death could have been the culmination of the factors he described.”

The judge dismissed the case. Because COVID hysteria created a climate where such actions were understandable.

Oh, did I say she didn’t have COVID? Nope, she didn’t. It was her COPD that caused her pain, not transmission. It is positive that Canada kills off sick people.

It is hard to imagine this decision being made by a judge in the absence of COVID hysteria, and impossible to image the guards’ action without it. COVID unleashed the authoritarian tendencies of people and gave them the ability to manifest their worst impulses.

There is no accountability.
