Kamala Awards Interview To MSNBC Host Who Defended Her
Vice President Kamala Harris has been selective in her media engagements since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, with her upcoming interview on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” generating attention. Host Stephanie Ruhle, during a recent appearance on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” defended Harris’s tendency to dodge specific policy questions, emphasizing that Harris is not expected to provide perfect answers because she is running against Donald Trump, who she deemed a significant threat to democracy.
Ruhle’s comments arose amidst criticism from others, including New York Times columnist Bret Stephens, who argued that voters deserve clarity on Harris’s stance on important issues. Ruhle downplayed the need for concrete answers from Harris, suggesting that voters are already familiar with Trump’s policies and the risks he poses. This perspective aligns with Harris’s strategy to distance herself from her role as vice president during the Biden administration, attempting to redirect focus onto Trump instead.
The upcoming interview marks Harris’s second discussion with a supportive interviewer, following a previous chat with Oprah Winfrey. Critics, however, are calling for more substantive interviews rather than “puff pieces.” Harris has been scrutinized for her lack of direct responses in interviews since assuming her candidacy, raising questions about her approach as the campaign progresses.
Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t participated in many interviews since she replaced President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee. Her next sitdown, however, will be with an MSNBC host who just this weekend defended the Democrat’s penchant for dodging policy questions.
MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour” host Stephanie Ruhle is slated to chat with Harris just days after she excused the incumbent’s obfuscation about American voters’ top concerns and called former President Donald Trump a “threat to democracy.”
“Kamala Harris is not running for perfect. She’s running against Trump,” Ruhle said during her appearance on “Real Time With Bill Maher.” The comments were directed at fellow guest Bret Stephens, New York Times columnist, who complained that it’s “not too much” to expect Harris to answer specific domestic and foreign policy questions.
One of Harris’ top campaign strategies is attempting to trick voters into believing she was never vice president and is not responsible for the chaos and crises that plague the Biden administration. Corporate media mouthpieces have willingly played along by pretending Harris was never named border czar and had nothing to do with the Afghanistan withdrawal — even after she claimed to be the “last person” in the strategy room with Biden.
Ruhle proved no different when she argued that Harris doesn’t need to give good, clear answers about where she stands on important topics because former President Donald Trump and his track record are a big enough threat as is.
“We have two choices. And so there are some things you might not know her answer to, and in 2024, unlike 2016 for a lot of the American people, we know exactly what Trump will do, who he is, and the kind of threat he is to democracy,” Ruhle said. Her response prompted Trump to refer to her on Truth Social as “‘dumb as a rock’ bimbo Stephanie Ruhle, from MSDNC.”
“Stephanie, the problem that a lot of people have with Kamala is we don’t know her answer to anything,” Stephens countered.
Ruhle continued her justification of Harris’ cop-outs by claiming “But we know his answer to everything.”
“I don’t think it’s a lot to ask her to sit down for a real interview as opposed to a puff piece,” Stephens concluded.
Except apparently it is too much to ask.
For more than a month after she took Biden’s title as the 2024 Democrat presidential candidate, Harris skirted questions and interviews about her historically low approval ratings and radical views from even the friendliest of her media allies.
When Harris finally decided it was time to sit down with the propaganda press, she only did so with a handpicked interviewer she knew would swaddle her in a security blanket of soft questions and her running mate Tim Walz by her side.
Now, months into her 2024 run, Harris plans to sit for another hyped up interview. Only this time, it’s with a member of Democrats’ media mafia who publicly gave Harris permission to keep hiding herself and her platform from voters.
Americans deserve answers to dozens of unanswered questions about Harris’ policy positions and plans for what could be her second term in the White House. The corporate media, including Ruhle, however, will continue to refuse to ask those questions because Harris is their preferred political candidate.
