Kamala Harris receives negative news, hosts ‘Pride’ party with drag queen star at home.

Vice President Kamala Harris Celebrates “Pride” Amidst Challenging Poll Results

Vice President Kamala Harris recently celebrated “Pride” with a star-studded event at her home, attended by Hollywood personalities and LGBT activists. The event, emceed by Sasha Colby, the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 15, was held in collaboration with GLAAD, formerly known as the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

During the event, Harris emphasized the importance of Pride Month in honoring those who have fought for civil rights and reaffirmed the ongoing battle for equal rights. She stated, “Pride Month is about celebrating those whose shoulders we stand on for their work to advance civil rights and an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the fight for equal rights.”

The event was attended by notable celebrities such as Ariana DeBose, Frankie Grande, Bobby Berk, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Gus Kenworthy, Jazz Jennings, Dove Cameron, G Flip, Brooke Eden, Murray Hill, Jeff Hiller, Rafael L. Silva, and Ronen Rubinstein. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was also present.

However, amidst the festivities, a recent NBC poll revealed challenging results for Vice President Harris. The poll indicated that 49 percent of those surveyed hold a negative view of Harris, with 39 percent having a “very negative” view. Only 11 percent have a “very positive” view, marking the lowest rating for a vice president since August 2020.

Comparatively, former Vice President Mike Pence had a negative rating of 4 percentage points in October 2019, while then-Vice President Joe Biden had a positive rating of one point in December 2010. These poll results highlight the challenges faced by Vice President Harris in terms of public perception.

Experts suggest that Harris’s impact on the Biden campaign will depend on the Republican nominee. If it’s Trump, the contrast between the candidates may minimize her influence. However, if it’s another GOP nominee, Harris’s presence in the White House could sway some voters to the opposing side.

Despite the challenges, it is unlikely that Harris will be discarded from the campaign, as doing so could alienate a portion of the progressive base. However, it is acknowledged that her contribution to Biden’s re-election bid may be limited.
