Kamala Harris claims high approval ratings.
Vice President Kamala Harris Dismisses Criticism of Approval Ratings as “Distractions”
Vice President Kamala Harris has responded to criticism of her approval ratings, dismissing them as mere distractions ahead of next year’s election. Despite her average job approval rating being at 41% and her disapproval rating at 53%, according to RealClearPolitics, Harris remains unfazed. President Joe Biden’s average approval-disapproval rating stands at 42%-54%, as reported by the polling aggregator.
“Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings,” Harris stated in an interview with ABC that aired on Monday. “I think the point that has to be made is that there are attempts to create distractions away from the accomplishments of our administration.”
Although Harris did not refer to a specific poll, recent surveys have not shown her approval rating surpassing 44%. Nevertheless, the vice president remains focused on the achievements of the administration and downplays concerns about Biden’s reelection campaign.
“Our focus has been on strengthening America and doing the work every day that is about seeing through what we are doing to bring down the cost of healthcare, what we are fighting for in terms of strengthening the economy and America’s families,” she emphasized.
During the interview, Harris was also questioned about House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s apparent openness to an impeachment inquiry into Biden and his family. In response, she chose not to engage in political games and grand gestures.
“I don’t really have much to say about, again, the kind of the — the cinema and the grand gestures that are political games,” she stated.
As the vice president remains focused on the administration’s goals, she aims to continue working towards strengthening America and addressing the needs of its citizens.
