Kamala Harris mum on abortion limits as Democrats oppose any.

VP Kamala Harris Dodges Abortion Questions, ⁣Wants to Codify Roe v. Wade

In an‌ attempt to keep her position on abortion limits ambiguous, Vice President Kamala Harris conceded that she and the Biden administration don’t want any⁢ restrictions⁤ on ending life in the⁤ womb.

“What is it that‌ you⁣ believe? I mean, what week of pregnancy should abortion access be cut off?” CBS’ Margaret Brennan asked during a Sunday exchange on ‍“Face The Nation.”

Harris, keeping in line with the ⁢White House’s repeated refusal to admit that⁤ it wants to⁤ codify abortion through all ‍nine months‌ of pregnancy,⁤ claimed the Democrat regime simply wants to “restore the protections of Roe [v.] Wade” using ‍Congress.

“We’re not trying to do something new,” Harris insisted, referring⁤ to Democrats’ ill-named ⁢“Women’s Health Protection ⁣Act,” which, if it hadn’t‌ failed to pass Congress last year, would have codified abortion until birth in every state.

@VP Harris‌ calls on Congress to codify the ‌abortion rights protections of Roe v. Wade, and does not say which week of pregnancy ⁢should be the cutoff for abortion access: ‍”We’re ⁢not trying to do‍ anything that did not exist before June of last year.” pic.twitter.com/S5ANQLP5dh

Brennan interrupted Harris to point out her answer was “nebulous because [Roe] was‌ about viability, ‌which could be anywhere‌ between ⁢20 to 24⁣ weeks.” Harris ⁣denied ‌that claim.

“No, no, no, no, no. Let⁣ me be very clear.⁢ From day one, the president has been clear, I have been clear: we need ‍to put back the protections that‌ are Roe v. Wade into law,” Harris continued. “Since the Supreme Court took it, Congress has ‌the power and ability to⁢ pass legislation to put those protections back in law, and Joe⁣ Biden will⁣ sign that bill. So that is what we‌ want.”

When Brennan pressed Harris on whether the legislation should be “specific” about “which week of⁤ pregnancy” should serve as⁤ the cutoff for abortions,⁤ Harris repeated her spiel about Roe v. Wade.

Brennan, clearly frustrated with Harris’ refusal to answer‌ a basic question, decided to pivot. Instead of⁢ pointing out‌ Harris’ stubbornness or the fact that most Americans oppose Democrats’ unlimited abortion for all agenda, the interviewer joined the VP in‌ taunting Republicans for calling out Democrats’ desire ‌to legalize abortion until birth.

“I’m asking you for the specifics because Republicans say the lack⁣ of a precise date ‌in cutting it off — you know this — they say that allows Democrats to perform abortions up until birth, which‍ is statistically ⁣not accurate,” Brennan said.

“It’s ridiculous, and it’s a mischaracterization of the point,”‌ Harris retorted.

“I understand that,” Brennan replied.

Brennan’s sympathy is not only scornful, it’s ⁤completely unfounded.

Democrats all across the nation promote abortion until birth.‌ Nearly a quarter of U.S. states have laws or constitutional amendments that guarantee abortions during any moment in pregnancy.

Even ‌Harris is on record supporting ‍legislation that would have‌ effectively allowed for the murder of unborn babies right before birth as long as a doctor claimed “a risk to⁣ [her] life or health” — a wide-sweeping definition that could easily be twisted to accommodate a woman’s ‌desire to abort for any reason.

@VP Harris:⁢ “With two more seats, we can codify Roe v. ‌Wade.⁢ With two more seats, we can pass the Women’s Health Protection Act. With two more seats, we can pass the Freedom ⁣to Vote Act. […] We will not allow archaic Senate rules to stand in the way.”‍ pic.twitter.com/sgf8DjZ8Qt

Harris’s renewed demands to “put into law the protections of Roe [v.] Wade” suggest nothing has changed for her or the Biden administration⁤ since their radical abortion legislation failed‍ last year.

At this point in the interview, Brennan tried to throw Harris a lifeline. She asked if Harris agreed with Democrats’ standard deflection, “Abortion should be a private matter between a woman and her doctor.”

“Is that what you‍ believe as well?”⁣ Brennan ‌prodded.

“I believe that we should put the protections of Roe v. Wade into law, and the way that will happen is if we have a United States Congress, who, regardless ‍of their personal view for themselves or ⁣their family would agree that the women of ⁢America should be trusted to make ‍decisions about their life and their body based on what they know to be in their best ⁤interest. It’s that simple,” Harris said.

When Brennan noted earlier in the segment that Democrats in Congress ‌currently don’t have the votes to legalize abortion, Harris signaled that the Biden administration is relying on heavily funded ballot measure campaigns in red states to execute its abortion agenda.

“That’s why we have elections. And that’s why we are seeing around this country that⁢ when this issue is on the ballot, from Kansas to California, people vote in favor of upholding basic freedoms,” Harris said. ⁣“The vast majority of Americans agree that government should not be making this decision for the women of America.”
