Kari Lake Files a Petition to Transfer an Appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court
Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has filed a petition to transfer her appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court after her election fraud lawsuit was dismissed.
Lake filed the petition Jan. 1.
Last week, the state’s Maricopa County court dismissed Eight of the 10 charges against Lake were dropped. Two counts related to Election Day ballot printing issues, and procedural errors were brought in for a two day trial, but it did not go her way.
“I am standing up for the people of this state,” Lake said Former White House advisor Steve Bannon “War Room” Show on Real America’s Voice streaming site.
Lake is not accused of widespread voter fraud. However, she claims problems with the state election system contributed to her narrow loss.
Peter Thompson, Maricopa Judge has also rejected Katie Hobbs (Democratic gubernatorial hopeful) requested that Lake be sanctioned for the lawsuit. Hobbs has been declared the winner. He did however order her to reimburse Hobbs with interest for trial costs.
