Kari Lake Lawsuit Accuses Maricopa County Of ’Unlawful’ Certification of Voting Machines
Republican Kari Lake’s legal team filed a brief at the Arizona Court of Appeals Tuesday arguing that Maricopa County violated the law by falsely claiming that voting machines were certified before the November 2022 general election when Lake was a candidate for governor.
In May, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled against Lake, stating that she had not provided enough evidence to prove that Arizona election law was not followed during the contest, which Democrat Katie Hobbs won by a slim margin.
Lake appealed the ruling in June, and in July, the case was transferred to the Arizona Court of Appeals division in Tucson, which covers Pima County.
Well, the Arizona appellate court just transferred our election case to another appellate court division which doesn’t even cover Maricopa County. That appellate court covers Pima County which means the most Marxist part of the state will be hearing our case.

In their Tuesday brief to the appeals court, Lake’s attorneys argued that new information has emerged since Thompson’s ruling, revealing that Maricopa County failed to certify the voting machines used on Election Day.
According to the brief, misconfigured ballot printers caused long lines at multiple voting locations in Maricopa County, as tabulators rejected ballots throughout the day.
“Maricopa’s system log (“SLOG”) files show that Maricopa’s vote-center tabulators rejected defective BOD-printed ballots more than 200,000 times at a rate of over 7,000 every 30 minutes from 6:30 am, shortly after the polls opened, through 8:00 pm, after the polls closed, causing massive lines and chaos on Election Day,” Lake’s lawyers argued.
The attorneys also stated that Maricopa County did not conduct the required Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing on the vote-center tabulators, as mandated by Arizona law.
Lake’s cyber expert, Clay Parikh, found that 260 of the 446 tabulators showed the same error codes during unannounced testing as they did on Election Day.
Based on these findings, Lake’s lawyers concluded that the election should be invalidated due to the county’s failure to follow the law.
In response to Lake’s allegations, Maricopa County claimed that logic and accuracy testing was properly completed and live-streamed.

Maricopa County argued that the evidence presented by Lake’s legal team had already been considered by a judge and deemed unconvincing.
Despite this, Lake announced that her attorneys have filed a petition to transfer her election challenge case to the Arizona Supreme Court.
The petition was filed with the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
My legal team has filed for our appeal to be reviewed by the Arizona Supreme Court.

Why does Kari Lake’s legal team argue that Maricopa County falsely claimed to have certified the voting machines?
Kari Lake, a Republican and former candidate for governor, has filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County, accusing them of unlawfully certifying voting machines used in the November 2022 general election. Lake’s legal team presented a brief to the Arizona Court of Appeals, arguing that the county falsely claimed to have certified the machines.
Earlier this year, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled against Lake, stating that she had not provided enough evidence to support her claim that Arizona election law was not followed during the election. The slim victory in the
