Kari Lake takes over as keynote speaker at Georgia GOP Convention, replacing Pence.
Kari Lake to Replace Mike Pence as Keynote Speaker at Georgia GOP Convention
Excitement is building for the upcoming Georgia Republican convention, as former Vice President Mike Pence has been forced to reschedule his appearance due to a televised national town hall. But fear not, as Arizona Republican Kari Lake will be stepping in as the keynote speaker for the Victory Dinner on June 9th at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
Lake, a former Phoenix news anchor and Republican gubernatorial candidate, has become a favorite among Trump supporters and is rumored to be considering a Senate run in 2024. She has refused to concede her narrow election defeat and is currently challenging the results in court.

According to an insider, tickets for the event sold out within hours of Lake’s announcement as keynote speaker. This is a stark contrast to when Pence was originally announced, as some attendees even requested refunds. The convention will also feature speeches from former President Donald Trump, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
Pence and Trump Go Their Separate Ways
Since the end of Trump’s term in 2021, he and Pence have gone their separate ways. Trump believed that Pence had the authority to not certify the Electoral College, while Pence disagreed. Pence has been teasing a potential presidential bid of his own for months, and even made a major ad purchase in Iowa.
Trump has been a strong supporter of Lake, endorsing her bid to be Arizona’s governor and even considering her as a potential running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
