Kat Cammack suggests Biden’s pardon is proof ‘he doesn’t actually love’ Hunter
Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) suggested that President Joe Biden does not love his son enough to let him face the consequences of his actions.
Hunter Biden was convicted of lying on a federal form about his drug use to purchase a revolver, submitting a false statement into a federal record, and unlawfully possessing the firearm for 11 days. He also pleaded guilty to three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses. His father announced Sunday that he was pardoning him of all these offenses.
“Think about this: This man has supposedly been under the banner of commander in chief,” Cammack said on Fox News’s The Faulkner Focus Monday. “As commander in chief, he has been weak, and he has made our country more dangerous. He has now graduated to the liar-in-chief because we know that his words mean nothing. They are hollow. He is the trafficker-in-chief, and now we can call him the enabler-in-chief. If you truly love someone, you actually have to let them help themselves. What he has done as a father, as a commander in chief, in both abusing his power, is he has shown his son that he doesn’t actually love him and he wants him to stand on his own two feet. No, he has enabled him and his problems.”
Cammack lamented that the story surrounding the younger Biden’s abandoned laptop that depicted his rowdy party lifestyle was initially deemed misinformation. Instead, the White House claimed it was a false flag hoisted by the Russian government.
“This is infuriating,” Cammack said. “The double standard, my God. If his administration does not go down as one of the most corrupt, shrouded in mystery, shrouded in secrecy, untruthful administrations, it will be absolutely a crime. I cannot wait for January 20th when we finally get some sunshine, which will be the best disinfectant for the mess that they’ve made at the White House.”
Hunter Biden is the 26th person to receive a presidential pardon from Joe Biden. It notably came after his party ousted the president as the Democratic nominee and after Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump.
Trump pardoned a single distant relative during the lame duck period of his first term: Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law, who married Ivanka Trump. Kushner pleaded guilty to 16 counts of assisting in the filing of false tax returns, one count of retaliating against a cooperating witness, and one count of making false statements to the Federal Election Commission in 2004. Trump recently nominated Kushner for ambassador to France.
