Catherine, Princess of Wales issued a public statement apologizing for a​ heavily edited and photoshopped image of ⁢her and her three ‌children that was shared online.

Princess Kate, 42, apologized on Monday after image agencies removed a photo of her ‍with her three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

In a ⁢post on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Twitter account,‍ Middleton explained that her editing‍ choices caused confusion surrounding the photo.

Middleton admitted that the Mother’s Day family portrait shared on Sunday had been edited​ and apologized for any confusion it may ‌have caused.

Kensington Palace⁢ announced that ‍the original, unaltered‌ portrait of Kate and her kids will not be released.
