Katherine Heigl Discusses Moving Her Kids To Utah: ‘Didn’t Know How To Raise Them In L.A.’

The actress famous for her role in “Knocked Up,” Katherine Heigl recently spoke about leaving from Los Angeles to Utah, citing that it was for the benefit of her children. The 44-year-old celebrity and her husband, Josh Kelley, have been married since 2007 and share three children. They moved to Park City, Utah, in 2008 and eventually made the decision to stay permanently.

Heigl explained that “I didn’t know how to raise them in L.A., so I felt like I could do it here. I could be more on top of things that scare me, and I could be more on top of the kinds of friends they have and places they’re going, the kind of activities they’re involved in — and what the hell they’re doing on their phones!”

She further confirmed that she’s done having children and that her three children are more than enough. Being a working mom is not easy for Heigl; it involves leaving her family behind while she travels out of the state to work on her projects. She explained that it’s hard to take her children out of school systems and put them into entirely new cities and environments, so she has to live with that aspect of her work, leaving her family behind.

Katherine Heigl is one of several celebrities who have moved from Los Angeles to Utah to raise their children in a different environment to enhance their upbringing. Other famous faces who have made the shift include Matthew McConaughey, James Van Der Beek, Katy Perry, Chris Hemsworth, Joe Rogan, and Mark Wahlberg.
