Kendi Doubles Down, Blames ‘Disinformation Operatives’ Over Deleted College Admissions Tweet That Debunks CRT
Boston University professor and leading Critical Race Theory proponent Ibram X. Kendi doubled down on a recently deleted tweet that accidentally refuted his entire ideology.
As The Daily Wire reported, Kendi shared an article on Friday from The Hill noting that white college applicants lie about their race to “get minority-focused financial aid” and improve their odds of acceptance. Indeed, studies reveal that black and Hispanic students effectively receive college admissions boosts over white classmates worth 310 and 130 SAT points, respectively.
After social media users pointed out that the article upended Kendi’s belief in a “systemic racism” that inherently disadvantages minority students, he deleted the tweet. On Monday evening, however, Kendi posted another Twitter thread that reaffirmed his narrative.
Let’s talk about the deleted tweet. It was quite an entertaining weekend. 1/14

“The anti-CRT crusade has spread this belief that White Americans are the victims of racism. As I posted last week, more than a third of White students lie about their race when applying for college, according to an online survey,” he wrote. “And there’s hardly any accountability — three-fourths of the White students lying on their applications about their race are receiving acceptance letters in return.”
Kendi then blamed “disinformation operatives” for “distorting” the deleted tweet’s “implications.”
“I posted these figures to show how many people may still hold this false belief that White people are disadvantaged,” he continued. “The angry reaction to my post (and deletion) evidenced this even more.”
Citing differing levels of wealth, legacy status, and access to advanced classes among college applicants, Kendi again stated: “These disinformation operatives are claiming I mistakenly demonstrated that structural racism doesn’t exist at the same time they used the figures I posted to claim that structural racism exists against White people.”
“What these disinformation operatives say is not supposed to make sense. It’s not supposed to be substantiated. It’s supposed to be believed. It’s supposed to inflame. They’ll distort anyone and anything to claim racism doesn’t exist (except of course against White people).”
After deleting his original post, however, Kendi had inflamed conservative rebuttals into tacit references to slavery.
When Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec tweeted that he “broke Kendi” by writing an article discussing the gaping hole in his argument, Kendi responded: “White enslavers boasted of *breaking* Black people (when they did not *break* Black people). The resistance never stopped then and it won’t stop today.”
