Kennedy trolls AOC with shampoo bottles comment – Washington Examiner
In a recent Fox news appearance,Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) addressed Representative Alexandria Ocasio-cortez (D-NY),questioning her capability to lead the Democratic Party. He referred to her as the party’s leader and humorously suggested that her presence necessitated instructions on shampoo bottles for their simplicity.Kennedy’s playful jab highlighted his view that Ocasio-Cortez lacks the intellectual heft necessary for leadership, culminating in a remark about a Republican strategy entitled “Operation Let Her Speak,” implying that allowing her to express her views would be beneficial for their side. Despite her emerging influence within the Democratic Party, especially following recent electoral challenges, Republican lawmakers, including Kennedy, have frequently dismissed her abilities. This public discourse reflects the ongoing tension between the progressive wing represented by Ocasio-Cortez and more established figures within the party.
John Kennedy trolls ‘leader of the Democratic Party’ AOC with shampoo bottles comment
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) questioned Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) mental prowess as she takes on a growing leadership role in the Democratic Party.
During a Fox News appearance on Tuesday, Kennedy slammed Ocasio-Cortez when asked about his thoughts about Democratic leadership, suggesting that she was ill-equipped to steer her party to success.
“I consider Congresswoman Cortez to be the leader of the Democratic Party,” he said. “I think she’s the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle.”
Kennedy continued, “The Republican Party’s plan for dealing” with the Democrats’ new leader is Operation Let Her Speak.”
His comments come as Ocasio-Cortez, 35, has emerged as one of the Democratic Party’s most vocal leaders seeking to shake up messaging and strategy in the wake of the Left’s bruising losses in the 2024 elections.
A CNN poll conducted last month suggested Ocasio-Cortez best reflects the Democratic Party’s principles.

Ocasio-Cortez’s positions have put her at odds with aging but influential members in her party, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), whom some Democrats say should step aside to make way for a new generation of leaders.
Despite her growing influence in the Democratic Party, Kennedy and other Republicans have largely dismissed Ocasio-Cortez. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) mocked her “tiny little brain” during an interview last November.
