Kia recalls nearly 463,000 Telluride SUVs over fire risk concerns

Kia America has recalled 4,807 of its 2021 Seltos vehicles due to a possible malfunction in their automated emergency braking systems. This recall affects a specific model year and could potentially lead to reduced functionality of the braking system. It is important for affected vehicle owners to take their car to a Kia dealership for inspection and necessary repairs.
Kia America is recalling 462,869 of its Telluride SUV vehicles, specifically over concerns about a potential fire safety hazard.
The potential fire hazard stems from a stuck power seat slide knob, which can cause the front power seat motor to overheat. The models that could be affected by this hazard are from Kia’s 2020-2024 Telluride models.
As such, Kia is advising owners of any of these cars to park outside of buildings and away from other vehicles for the time being.
To remedy this, Kia is allowing dealers to install a bracket on the power seat switch back covers and replace the seat slide knobs, which will be offered at no cost to owners.
