Kirby commends investigators’ efforts to locate White House cocaine suspect.

The White House Cocaine Investigation:‍ No ‌Suspects ‍Found

The⁤ investigation into ⁢the origin of the ⁣cocaine⁢ found‍ in⁢ the White⁢ House was “the⁣ best”⁢ the Secret Service could ⁣do, despite not ‌identifying‍ a suspect, a top Biden administration official says.

John ⁢Kirby, the coordinator for ⁤Strategic⁣ Communications at the National ⁢Security Council, told‍ Fox News ⁣host Shannon Bream on “Fox ⁤News Sunday”⁣ that at the ⁢end ⁢of the‍ probe,⁤ there wasn’t⁤ enough ⁤“forensic evidence”⁣ to pinpoint ⁤the perpetrator. On ‍July ‍2,⁢ a⁤ bag of cocaine ‌was⁤ discovered ‍in a lobby⁢ of⁤ the ⁣West Wing.

“I can’t‌ really ⁢speak ‌to the‍ investigation ⁤that ‌was‌ done by ⁢the ⁣Secret Service,” Kirby‍ said when‍ Bream asked ⁢him, “What if it⁤ was ⁤something more dangerous?”

“They ⁣did‍ the ‌best ⁣they⁢ could to track ⁢down⁣ how⁣ it ⁣got ⁣there and who it might ⁣have belonged to and they just were not able⁣ to ‍come‍ up with⁤ any ⁤forensic⁣ evidence that proves ⁤it,” Kirby added.

Kirby went⁤ on to explain that the cocaine ⁢was discovered in a “visitors lobby area,” which is‌ “highly ⁤trafficked.” He said⁢ the administration has ⁣taken the discovery “seriously” ⁤and‌ that⁤ the⁢ administration would take a ‌look at‌ how it could ‍have⁣ gotten into‌ the ‍White ‌House.

“If there’s‍ things ⁢we ⁢can do⁤ to prevent ‍that‍ in ⁢the ⁢future, ‌we⁤ certainly ⁢will ⁤do that,”⁤ Kirby said.‍ “Nobody’s ⁢happy⁤ about this.”

Unsolved Mystery: No⁣ Fingerprints or DNA Found

On⁤ Thursday, the‍ Secret Service concluded its ‌investigation into the ⁤source of⁣ the⁢ cocaine,⁤ saying that⁢ no fingerprints⁢ or‌ DNA were discovered⁤ on the ⁢bag.‌ The federal agency⁢ also reportedly⁤ reviewed⁣ video ⁤surveillance ⁣and⁢ visitor logs,‌ but ‌those attempts came⁣ up‌ empty.

Some initially ‌suspected⁤ that ⁢Hunter ‍Biden, President ⁣Joe Biden’s‌ son,‍ could⁢ be ⁣behind the scandal, as he had appeared at the⁣ White House ⁤before ⁣the‌ announcement of the discovery‍ and has‍ previously battled drug ⁤addiction,‌ including⁢ cocaine use. A source, ‍however, told NBC that the⁤ “leading theory” is that the substance was⁢ left ⁤by‌ a ⁣visitor on a ⁣tour‍ that ⁣weekend.

Republicans ‍Accuse White⁣ House of Cover-Up

“Just left⁤ the ‌most ridiculous meeting of all ‌time with the‌ Secret ‍Service‍ on ⁢the ‍cocaine ⁤that was ⁤found‍ in the White⁤ House,” Rep.‌ Tim ⁤Burchett⁣ (R-TN) ⁢said⁣ in a ⁤video‍ he recorded after a ⁤briefing on ⁣the‌ investigation. “It turns out⁢ –⁤ they‍ don’t‍ know who ‍did it. The investigation is going‌ to be ⁣over⁤ at ⁢the end ‌of ‌the⁢ week, ‍and they’re ⁣not going ⁣to find ‍out ⁢who did ‍it. And that’s basically it.”

“Another⁢ coverup,” Burchett continued.⁢ “You⁣ know,⁤ it’s the ⁣most⁣ secure⁢ building in⁢ the⁤ entire⁢ world. Nobody, not even ⁢the press, goes in there without⁢ them ⁢knowing.”

Even former⁣ President Donald Trump, ⁣the current‍ frontrunner for the Republican presidential‌ nomination, weighed in on⁤ the⁤ controversy, calling it a “two tier⁣ level of‌ justice.”

“Despite all of‍ the ⁣cameras pointing directly at the⁤ ‘scene ‍of the crime,’ ⁤and ‌the greatest⁢ forensics anywhere in the World,‍ they just can’t‌ figure it⁢ out? They know the answer, and so‌ does everyone else!” Trumpposted to⁢ Truth Social.
