Kyle Rittenhouse starts nonprofit to fight against gun control.
Kyle Rittenhouse Launches Nonprofit Organization to Defend Second Amendment
Kyle Rittenhouse is taking his activism to the next level by establishing a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting against gun control and safeguarding the Second Amendment.
Since relocating to Texas after his highly publicized 2021 trial, Rittenhouse has emerged as a prominent figure in pro-gun politics, actively supporting conservative candidates and causes.
The Rittenhouse Foundation: Protecting the Right to Bear Arms
Rittenhouse has officially filed the necessary paperwork with the secretary of state to establish the Rittenhouse Foundation. Based in Fort Worth, the foundation’s mission is to defend an individual’s inalienable right to bear arms through education and legal assistance.
Rittenhouse himself serves as the director of the foundation, alongside notable figures such as Chris McNutt, President of Texas Gun Rights, and Shelby Griesinger from the Defend Texas Liberty PAC, as reported.
McNutt and Griesinger have played instrumental roles in securing funding for the foundation, according to the report.
One of Rittenhouse’s previous endeavors in the fight against gun control involved opposing legislation that aimed to raise the minimum age for purchasing automatic weapons from 18 to 21.
Rittenhouse gained national attention when he fatally shot two individuals during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which occurred shortly after the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man. On November 19, 2021, he was acquitted of all charges in his homicide trial and has consistently maintained that his actions were in self-defense.
