LAPD Bans “Thin Blue Line” Flag, Claims It’s Racist

Los Angeles Police Department has banned the Thin Blue Line Flag because it allegedly represents violence. “undemocratic, racist, and bigoted views” Extremist groups hold the place.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore sent an email Friday to department personnel announcing that they were banning the Thin Blue Line sign. The LAPD has banned the Thin Blue Line symbol being displayed in public areas on police property.

He stated that he had received a complaint from the community about the Thin Blue Line flag being displayed in the lobby at the police station. The darkness represents chaos and anarchy, and to many, a memorial to the law enforcement officers who have perished in the line of duty.”

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, also enacted a similar ban. The Springfield township board voted this week to ban Thin Blue Line from its property.

Commissioner Ed Graham Claim, “When you wave this flag, it is just like for African Americans the waving of a Confederate flag.”
