Boebert urges boycott of North Face over drag queen ad.

Conservative Rep Calls for Boycott of North Face Over Drag Queen Ad

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has called for conservatives to boycott “woke” clothing retailer North Face following its new ad campaign featuring a drag queen.

In the video ad shared on social media, drag queen Pattie Gonia promotes North Face’s LGBT “Summer of Pride” national tour that is said to “celebrate all the ways you get outside.”

FOR THE FARM BILL TO DO ANY GOOD, IT NEEDS TO PRIORITIZE THIS ONE THING

“Because we believe that exploration can take many shapes and forms,” Gonia wrote on Instagram alongside the video ad. “We’re making these events so much more than just a hiking tour. We’ll have workshops, panels and activities for all individuals who love to be outside.”

In response to the ad, Boebert called for a boycott, suggesting North Face “wanted to get a taste of what conservatives did to Bud Light and Target.”

“How many times do we have to explain to the woke marketing departments at these disgusting companies that America is not a nation of degenerates?” Boebert tweeted.

“It’s time to boycott ANY product North Face has ever made,” she added. “Let’s make it as shameful to wear North Face as it is to drink Bud Light!”

Former Republican congressional candidate Robby Starbuck also denounced North Face’s ad campaign.

“Can anyone explain how the heck this ad helps @northface sell outdoor clothes?” Starbuck tweeted. “They’re screaming at you to not buy their products if this violates your values. Accept their challenge. The North Face is owned by the VF Corporation which also owns Supreme, Vans, and Timberland.”

In response to the criticism, North Face reportedly called the campaign partnership with Gonia an opportunity to “shape the future of the outdoors, and we want that future to be a more accepting and loving place.”

“The North Face online community is designed to be a safe, positive and inclusive environment,” North Face added. “It’s why we have a zero-tolerance policy against racist, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, harmful, vulgar or attacking social media comments, which will be removed immediately.”

All comments have since been turned off.

North Face’s campaign comes as conservatives have rallied against Anheuser-Busch and Target.

  • Anheuser-Busch has seen its Bud Light beer sales decline for six straight weeks after it sent a personalized Bud Light can to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who subsequently made two posts with the can. Backlash soon began within the company’s customer base.
  • Target’s LGBT-themed Pride merchandise, which features more than 2,000 items, including clothing, lights, books, and furnishings, was recently moved from the front of the store to a more discrete location after the major retailer said it had received “threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and [well-being] while at work.”

Conservatives are making a difference, right?” conservative commentator Tomi Lahren recently told Fox News. “For so long, a fraction of a minority of the population has been allowed to run roughshod over the rest of us, and conservatives and Christians have had to sit back and nod our heads and not say anything.”
