Leadership at Project Veritas Issues Statement Concerning James O’Keefe
Daniel Stack, Project Veritas Executive director, released a statement in his own name and on behalf of the board of directors. This statement addressed the ongoing turmoil surrounding James O’Keefe’s position as an undercover journalist. O’Keefe was reportedly placed on paid parental leave for misconduct claims.
Project Veritas’s latest statement includes O’Keefe. The previous statement only discussed the work of the company and the process by which the board was evaluating the future direction for the site. This new statement confirms that a number employees complained about O’Keefe’s management style.
“The narrative that is being portrayed by referencing this letter is patently false. James has not been removed from Project Veritas. Nowhere in that letter was there ever a suggestion to remove James from the organization,” Stack wrote.
“James is the hardest working person I have ever met. Those who know him well know that he will not take time off unless forced to,” He concluded.
Stack said that O’Keefe’s being investigated was unrelated to recent stings against Pfizer, or candidates running for office.

The Project Veritas statements do not detail O’Keefe’s current actions or the allegations that prompted this whole mess. O’Keefe’s unprofessional behavior was also highlighted in the complaint by a donor.
Diana Remmers and her husband were involved in the incidents. O’Keefe asked for $75,000 rudely during a meeting. Remmers refused to take a photo with Remmers at an event where Remmers was. “humiliated to the point of tears.” According to the complaint, the authors were concerned O’Keefe’s behavior would turn them away from Project Veritas donors.
