In a⁤ shocking‌ turn of events, ‍18-year-old Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James, was rushed⁢ to ⁣the hospital on Monday after​ suffering a cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at the University of Southern California (USC).

Fortunately, there is some good news. According to a spokesperson for the James family, Bronny ‍is now in stable ‍condition and out ⁤of the ⁤ICU, as reported‌ by TMZ Sports.

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac ‍arrest. Medical staff was able ⁤to treat Bronny and⁢ take him to the hospital,” ​the James family spokesperson ⁤said. “He is now in stable condition and no longer in‍ ICU. We⁢ ask for⁣ respect and privacy for⁣ the James family ‌and we will update⁣ media when ⁢there is more information.”

The⁤ James family spokesperson also expressed their gratitude towards the USC medical and athletic ‍staff for⁣ their​ exceptional work ‍and dedication⁢ to ⁢the safety of their athletes.

Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills safety ‌who experienced a similar cardiac arrest incident during a ⁢game‌ in January, took ⁢to Twitter to offer his prayers ‌and support to the ​James family.

“Prayers to Bronny‌ & The ⁢James family as​ well. 🙏🏽 here for you ‍guys‍ just like ⁣you have been for‍ me my entire process,” Hamlin wrote.

Bronny, the eldest child ‍of LeBron ⁤James, is an incoming freshman at USC and a highly regarded basketball ‌player. He has already made a name for⁤ himself as a four-star recruit and ‍a McDonald’s​ All-American in high school. ESPN ranks‍ him as​ the 20th-best player and sixth-best point‍ guard in the class of 2023.

Furthermore, Bronny has secured lucrative name, image, ‌and likeness‍ (NIL) deals with major ⁢companies such ‌as Nike, Beats by Dre, and PSD Underwear, valued at an astounding $7.2 million, according to Sports Illustrated.
