A shocking incident unfolded at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison when a shirtless man, identified as Joshua Pleasnick, was apprehended for openly carrying a firearm and insisting on meeting the state’s Democratic governor, Tony Evers. Remarkably, Pleasnick returned to the Capitol after posting bail, this time armed with an AK-style rifle, and once again demanded to see Evers. As a result, he was taken into protective custody.
Records from the Federal Election Commission reveal that Pleasnick made two small donations, $3 and $27, to Senator Bernie Sanders during his presidential campaigns.
This incident is not the first time a Sanders supporter has posed a threat to elected officials. In 2017, a volunteer for Sanders opened fire at a GOP congressional baseball practice, causing severe injuries to Representative Steve Scalise before being fatally shot by the police.
