Leftist Co-Host Apologizes For Spreading False Claims About Ron DeSantis: ‘I Had All These Biases’

Ana Kasparian, who is a left-leaning co-host on “The Young Turks”, has apologized for promoting false claims about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ handling of the COVID pandemic.

Kasparian took full responsibility for the false claims and said, “I want to be clear that out of everyone who works on the main show, the only person who should be held responsible for that is me. I’m the executive producer of the show, and I screwed up royally. And part of the reason why I screwed up is because I had all these biases, of course, against Ron DeSantis.”

Kasparian admitted that she had biases against DeSantis, which is not uncommon as she doesn’t agree with every decision he has made as Governor but she realized that letting those biases cloud her judgment was not acceptable.

Kasparian named Rebekah Jones, a conspiracy theorist and twice-failed Democrat congressional candidate who was fired by the DeSantis administration, as the source of the claims that she helped propagate. She accepted that her biases had impacted her judgment, and that she should have done her due diligence to verify the facts before reporting on them.

Kasparian has taken corrective steps to ensure that her mistakes are corrected, and audience members receive accurate information. She also apologized to her audience members for letting them fall prey to someone who might be a grifter, fundraising off of them.
