“Effective‍ immediately, existing customers‍ can visit www.libertysafe.com/pages/combination-removal and⁤ fill out the ⁢form to have records of their access codes expunged,” the company‌ stated on Sept. 7. “In the coming weeks, we will be releasing a feature that ‍gives every new customer this option when registering their⁣ safe.”

Furthermore,⁣ Liberty‌ Safe has‌ revised its policies regarding cooperation⁢ with law enforcement. Moving forward, the company will only provide ⁣access codes if ⁣legally compelled to do so through a subpoena, and only if the⁤ codes still exist⁤ in their⁤ system.
