Lightfoot Out As Mayor, Says She Was Treated Unfairly As A Black Woman
Lori Lightfoot, the Mayor of Chicago, once again complained about her race and gender after her disappointing defeat in Chicago’s mayoral elections.
Lightfoot Final Paul Vallas (ex-Chicago Public Schools CEO) was third with 34% and 94% respectively. Johnson was second with 20%. Lightfoot was awarded 17% of votes; Vallas will face Johnson in a second round election on April 4.
When asked by a reporter after her concession speech, if she felt treated unfairly due to her race or gender, Lightfoot (who is gay) answered, “Yes.” Please reply, “I’m a black woman in America. Of course.”
Lightfoot was elected as mayor of Chicago in 2019, but he became the first Chicago mayor to lose a reelection campaign in over 40 years. Chicago has seen a rise in crime. risen 52% in 2022 and over 100 percent in 2021.

Rahm Emmanuel was a polite guy who was a uniter? No. Women and people of color are always held to a different standard. I understand that. I’ve known that my whole life.”

According to a lawsuit filed in Chicago by an ex-deputy general counsel of Chicago Park District who made a deal to allow a Christopher Columbus statue for use in a parade, Lightfoot told him furiously that it would be 2021. “My d*** is bigger than yours and the Italians. I have the biggest d*** in Chicago.”
