Little Caesars Out Pizzas the Hut
Nobody out-pizzas the hut – until now.
Little Caesars has usurped Pizza Hut as the king of gameday pizza chains after the NFL announced a multi-year partnership naming the Detroit-based company as the league’s official pizza sponsor.
Gameday couch potatoes will now be shown mouthwatering fan favorites such as the Extramostbestest cheese pie, Detroit-style deep dish ultimate supreme and stuffed crazy bread as they watch their favorite teams compete on Sundays.
Pizza Hut served as the official sponsor of the NFL from 2018 to 2022. Its predecessor, Papa John’s, held the sponsorship title from 2010 to 2018 but ultimately lost the role after Papa John himself made questionable comments in regards to NFL players kneeling during the national anthem.
Little Caesars now has a set of exclusive marketing rights that will further connect the brand with the NFL. Over the next several months, both companies will unveil elements such as “social media games, new products, new packing and unique promotions” as they gear up for the 2022 season and beyond.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Little Caesars to the NFL family,” Renie Anderson, chief revenue officer and executive vice president of NFL partnerships, said in a statement. “With a focus on quality and convenience, Little Caesars offers unmatched value for our fans, and we look forward to working together to positively impact communities across the United States.”
