Longtime ‘Ellen’ DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Dead At 40, Apparent Suicide
Stephen “tWitch” Boss, 40, longtime DJ for “The Ellen Show,” was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room on Tuesday in an apparent suicide.
According to a report from entertainment site TMZ, authorities were alerted to a possible situation by his wife, Allison Holker, who reported that he had left home without his car and she was concerned for his safety.
By 11:15 a.m., paramedics were called to a Los Angeles hotel room for a medical emergency, at which point they found Boss dead of what they said appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Boss was pronounced dead at the scene.
Boss and Holker had celebrated their wedding anniversary just days earlier, according to a post Holker shared on Instagram on Saturday. “It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU #happyanniversary#bosswedding2013,” she captioned the photo from their 2013 wedding.
Holker spoke publicly about her husband’s untimely passing, saying, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.”
“He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory,” she added. “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” she concluded. Boss started his stint with Ellen DeGeneres on the long-running “The Ellen Show” in 2014 and remained with the program until its end in 2022. He became a producer on the show in 2020.
