President Trump issued an executive order late on Monday night to ban transgender troops from serving openly in the military. On Tuesday, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders, or GLAD Law, and the National Center for Lesbian Rights filed a federal lawsuit challenging the executive order.
The 66-year-old music star received blowback in 2017 when she spoke at the Women’s March on Washington and imagined the White House “blowing up” during Trump’s first term as president.
Singer Selena Gomez also slammed the new administration on social media, posting a video of herself sobbing about migrant deportations before deleting the post later.
