Before his sentencing, Zakrzewski told Orange County Superior Court Judge Kimberly ⁤Menninger that he “prided ⁤ [himself] ‌ on bringing smiles to [the] children and all the good times ‍ [they] shared were‌ 100 percent genuine.”

Prosecutor Juliet Oliver disclosed during the trial’s ‍closing⁢ arguments that Zakrzewski had a “full book” on pedophilia‍ on his computer and that the ⁢majority of the evidence used against⁤ him had ‍been videotaped.

He was convicted of ⁤sexually‍ assaulting 16 young ⁢boys in⁣ his ⁣care and exposing a 17th victim to child pornography with the intent to sexually abuse him as ‍well.

On his business⁣ website, Zakrzewski referred to himself as ⁤“the original Sitter Buddy” and described himself as a “manny” who offered a range of ⁤babysitting services, including mentorships, big brother connections, and overnight vacation babysitting.

“Through my school’s ‘Buddy Program,’ I discovered what a joy it was to work with children and be a ⁢positive influence in their lives in the eighth grade,” Zakrzewski ⁢remarked on the Sitter Buddy website. “Now, I ‍am a full-service TrustLine Certified provider of regular and on-demand ⁣childcare,‍ as well ⁤as⁣ mentoring services for ‍children.”
