In a devastating incident that occurred in the early hours of September 5, a man and a woman lost their lives when their vehicle collided with a Los Angeles County fire truck in West Rancho Dominguez.
The crash took place at the intersection of South Avalon Boulevard and East Compton Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Sean Lough. The collision was reported at 12:32 a.m., leaving the community in shock.
The victims, both aged between 25 and 30, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

As a result of the crash, the California Highway Patrol issued a traffic advisory at approximately 5:15 a.m., announcing the closure of the Avalon and Compton boulevards intersection for an estimated four hours.
