Man arrested outside Trump Coachella rally threatens sheriff with defamation lawsuit – Washington Examiner
A man named Vem Miller, who was arrested with an illegal firearm outside a Trump rally in Coachella, is threatening Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco with a defamation lawsuit. Sheriff Bianco suggested that the arrest could be linked to a third assassination attempt on Trump. Miller denies these allegations, claiming they are false and asserting that the sheriff’s office is lying. During an interview on NewsNation, he declared that not only would he pursue legal action, but he also claimed that both Bianco and the deputy involved would face investigations and potentially lose their positions.

A man who was arrested outside of the Trump Coachella rally with a firearm illegally in his possession has threatened the local sheriff with a defamation lawsuit.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco told reporters his deputies had “probably” stopped a “third assassination attempt,” an allegation Nevada resident Vem Miller vehemently rejected. In an appearance on NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live, Miller threatened Bianco with a lawsuit over the claim.
“Oh yeah, the sheriff’s office is lying, and they’re about to get hit with a lawsuit,” Miller said. “The sheriff is going to be investigated, he’s going to lose his position, the deputy sheriff that was a part of this is going to be investigated, he’s going to lose his position, there’s going to be a massive lawsuit.”
Miller said Bianco was only trying to boost his name to eventually become governor of California.
“We’re looking at a sheriff that wants to be governor. He’s trying to use this situation to basically boost his name,” he said. “He has political aspirations. I know that for a fact.”
Miller, who runs AmericaHappens.com., said in a lengthy video statement following his arrest that he had already disclosed his firearms when he was arrested and was invited to the Coachella rally. He said that he supports Trump and campaigned for him during the primary.
During the interview, Miller said he was carrying the firearm for protection, as he always does. He maintained that his guns were legal but considers himself a sovereign citizen, meaning he doesn’t believe he’s subject to the law. The police department said Miller was “found to be illegally in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine.”
