Man Fatally Shot in Santa Ana
On August 13, tragedy struck in Santa Ana as a gunshot wounds outside Santa Ana liquor store.”>man lost his life in a shooting incident. The incident took place at approximately 1:50 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Bristol Street. The victim, identified as 29-year-old Jorge Velazquez of Santa Ana, succumbed to gunshot wounds to the upper body at the scene, according to the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD).
No other injuries were reported.
The shooting took place in the parking lot outside Adolfo’s Liquor Store at 2724 N. Bristol St., as reported by County News TV. Witnesses in the area claimed to have heard seven gunshots.
Although no motive or suspect description has been released, authorities believe the shooting to be gang-related.
