Man dies in Calabasas car collision
Tragic Accident Claims the Life of Eric Hamermesh
CALABASAS, Calif.—In a devastating incident that occurred on September 9, a 68-year-old motorist named Eric Hamermesh from McKinney, Texas, lost his life when a speeding vehicle crashed into a parked car, trapping him between the two vehicles.
The crash took place at around 2:40 p.m. in the 26400 block of Rondell Street in Calabasas, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The vehicle responsible for the accident entered the parking lot from Las Virgenes Road and, according to a statement from the department, “accelerated uncontrollably” before colliding with the parked car.
Tragically, Mr. Hamermesh, who was in the process of exiting his parked vehicle, became trapped between the two cars. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released any further information about the incident at this time.
