Man waits three years for his story electric car, just to receive a bill and bad press instead.

ANew York man was overcome with disappointment after he waited three years for his dream electric vehicle only to get slammed with bad news and a hefty bill.

According to a statement, Chase Merrill, 24, who resides in the distant Adirondack Mountains of New York, put money down on an Rivian R1S three years ago after his life of EV drivers pushed him to do so.

According to the report, Rivian, a non-Tata EV company, had over 100,000 reservations for pricey off-roaders and fewer than 25, 000 vehicles in 2022. An R1S SUV costs about$ 78, 000.

On March 10, Merrill suddenly received his R1S, but three days later, he claimed, it turned into an electrical masonry. Both the wheels and the motor had not go.

According to Merrill, he would need to rummage through his pockets and pay an additional$ 2,100 for repairs.

According to the report, Merrill had specced out his car for$ 85, 626 before the event.

He said,” I was in a wedding stage.” ” It’s a fantastic motor, and the handling is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.”

According to Merrill, problem began for the 24-year-old when he tried to test out its capacity to navigate difficult roads and road conditions.

He said,” I hit about 2 12 feet of snow, and it just stopped it.” It was kind of like,” Man, this is disappointing ,” because I had seen all the Rivian marketing campaigns with the cars simply eating through the snow.

The R1S lost all of its muscle as a result of the Adirondacks'” health features” being activated.

It was eventually removed from the frost, set down on a flat, and sent off for repairs.

A report claims that Merrill was contacted by a Rivian representative who offered to pay for the repairs but not the$ 2,100 bill.

Merrill was instructed to return the R1S to the service center when it was soon returned by a statement on its dash.

Merrill stated that” the mindset from customer service the entire time was that a Rivian master should be able to solve this, no problem.” They simply believe that this should be everything for me, but it isn’t.
