Trump Derangement Syndrome: The Man Who Started the Impeachment Saga Now Running for Congress as a Democrat
Brainwashed by mainstream media and each other, some people truly suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. They firmly believe that Trump poses an existential threat to the American way of life.
Others, however, jump on the Never Trump bandwagon for personal gain, using fear as a means to gain power. It can be difficult to distinguish between the two.
Enter Yevgeny “Eugene” Vindman, the retired Army colonel who, along with his twin brother Alexander, blew the whistle on then-President Donald Trump’s request for an investigation into Joe Biden’s dealings in Ukraine. Their actions ultimately led to Trump’s first impeachment.
Now, Vindman has announced his candidacy for Congress as a Democrat, aiming to replace Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger in Virginia’s 7th district. He is banking on his name recognition as an enemy of Trump to propel him to political power in this competitive race.
Vindman is the first Democrat to enter the race, with several Republicans already launching campaigns. He is using fear of Trump as his campaign platform, claiming that he is running to defend the nation against the “clear and present danger” of Trump and the 147 members of Congress who voted to overturn the will of the American people.
But is Vindman’s fear of Trump genuine? It’s hard to say. What is certain is that he wants voters to fear him, hoping it will secure him an election victory.
Instead of focusing on substantive issues, the Democrats often rely on emotional appeals. They know that this strategy works on many people, especially as critical thinking and common sense have taken a back seat to social justice and gender ideology in our schools.
While Vindman touts his military experience and his family’s immigrant background, it’s important to remember that his actions played a significant role in a sham impeachment. If he truly wanted the truth to prevail, he would admit the truth about Trump’s first impeachment.
Furthermore, Biden’s own involvement in Ukraine raises questions. His son, Hunter, received large sums of money from a corrupt Ukrainian company, and there are indications that Biden used his position to help that company. Trump’s call for an investigation into Biden’s dealings was justified.
Ultimately, Vindman’s campaign is built on fear and opposition to Trump. It remains to be seen whether this strategy will resonate with voters in the battleground Virginia 7th district.
Will Vindman be elected?

“That’s why I’m running for Congress - to defend our nation against the clear and present danger of Donald Trump and the 147 members of Congress who voted to overthrow the will of the American people. We need leaders with honesty, experience, and judgment,” Vindman said.
Vindman’s mission is to ”defend democracy, fight Trump and MAGA extremists,” according to a post by his brother Alex on Twitter.

It seems that Vindman has embraced the liberal narrative that Trump is a “clear and present danger,” and anyone who supports him, including the 147 Congress members who objected to the 2020 election, is also a threat. This fear of Trump has become a central theme for Democrats, who lack substantial policy proposals. With a struggling economy and global turmoil, their emotional appeals often resonate with many voters.
However, it’s important to recognize that the Democrats have played a role in shaping the current state of affairs. They have prioritized social justice and gender ideology over critical thinking and common sense, resulting in a significant shift in our society.
Vindman’s campaign may rely on emotional responses, but it remains to be seen whether voters will buy into his fear-based platform. The truth is, the Democrats may be winning the long game, but they have not yet emerged victorious.
While Vindman talks about defending democracy and pursuing the American dream, it’s crucial to remember that his actions contributed to a sham impeachment. If he truly wanted the truth to prevail, he would acknowledge the flaws in Trump’s first impeachment.
It’s time to see beyond the fear tactics and evaluate candidates based on their substance and integrity. Only then can we ensure a brighter future for our nation.
A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:
What if you woke up one morning and half of the people you count on had just vanished overnight?
That happened to me recently. I got up, came to work here at The Western Journal, and when I got to my office, literally half of our readers had vanished. They were just gone. We had been nuked by Facebook, and it had happened almost instantly.
But it was even worse. Facebook hit us at the same time 90 percent of advertisers had essentially boycotted us. “Brutal” is a word I’ve used a lot lately.
The fight for the truth is brutal. The fight for America’s soul is brutal. What the government is doing to Jan. 6 detainees is brutal. What surgeons are doing to confused children is brutal.
It’s a fight we must win. But we can’t win without you.
A membership to The Western Journal will go much farther than you think. It costs less than a cup of Starbucks coffee, and for that small price you get access to ALL of our content — news, commentary, and premium articles — you’ll experience a radically reduced number of ads, and most importantly you will be vitally supporting the fight against leftism.
Can I count on you to join today? We need your help. Benjamin Franklin summed up the situation we’re all facing when he said, “We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.”
We plan to hang in and fight. Please help us. Please become a member today.
Sincerely,
