A manhunt is underway for a person of interest in connection with the murder of a Yale graduate student. Police are searching for 29-year-old Qinxuan Pan, who is wanted in the fatal shooting of Kevin Jiang.

The shooting happened earlier this month in New Haven, Connecticut where Jiang lived, authorities believe Pan was in the area around the time of the killing. Investigators suspect this may have been a road rage incident.

Pan, who is a resident of Massachusetts, was last spotted in Georgia. The U.S. Marshals said he may be staying with family and friends near Atlanta.

“I am asking that the public knows that Mr. Pan should be considered armed and dangerous, and that extreme caution should be used if you come in contact with this individual,” Chief Otoniel Reyes of the New Haven Police Department stated.

Pan is facing charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and interstate theft of a vehicle. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
