Marianne Williamson Responds To Claims She Flies Into Fits Of ‘Foaming, Spitting, Uncontrollable Rage’
Marianne Williamson, Democratic presidential Candidat, has responded to accusations made by former staffers that Williamson flew into fits during her unsuccessful 2020 bid for President.
Twelve of her former staffers reportedly told POLITICO that Williamson — who was a self-help author and spiritual adviser before she threw her hat in the ring as a presidential candidate — was a very different person behind closed doors than she claimed to be.
“It would be foaming, spitting, uncontrollable rage,” POLITICO was told by a former employee on condition that he remain anonymous. “It was traumatic. And the experience, in the end, was terrifying.”
Multiple staffers claimed that Williamson’s loud outbursts caused hotel security to conduct welfare checks. At least three of them cited instances in which Williamson allegedly threw a phone at employees who had provoked her. Interviewees all recalled Williamson shouting at staff until they wept.
Williamson was allowed to address the allegations in a Fox News interview with Neil Cavuto on Thursday.
“This is what they do. This is what they do. These are the hits that they make,” Williamson spoke. “Hit pieces come. Mockery from the press secretary to the president comes, the women on ‘The View.’ These are the dirty tricks that mean you are rattling someone. Somebody’s not happy that you’re there. Somebody feels threatened by the conversation that you’re bringing up. So, this is what happens in politics. And I’m not surprised it’s happening to me.”
Cavuto brought up quotes from the POLITICO piece by former Rep. Paul Hodes, Williamson’s 2020 New Hampshire director. “Those reports of Ms. Williamson’s behavior are consistent with my observations, consistent with contemporaneous discussions I had about her conduct with staff members, and entirely consistent with my own personal experience with her behavior on multiple occasions.”
“I could talk about Paul Hodes’ behavior, but I’m not going to go there,” Cavuto was informed by Williamson. “If anybody has ever felt that I was not respectful to them who worked for me, then I am sorry. But I also know that this is a hit piece. I think any time that somebody criticizes, you always have to ask yourself, is any of it true? Is 10% of it true? If 10% of it is true, then I want to correct that within myself and within my behavior.”

“But that’s not what’s going on here. Do I have some things to learn from any experience, including that one? Absolutely,” She added. “But I also think that people can see through the obvious game that’s being played here by establishment forces who don’t want me in the game.”
