Marjorie Taylor Greene labels Trump’s court hearing as ‘true communism’ in America.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: Trump’s Court Hearing is “Actual Real Communism” in America
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made a bold statement regarding former President Donald Trump’s court hearing on Thursday. She argued that the Biden administration’s attempt to indict Trump and put him in jail is a sign of “actual real communism” in the United States.
In a video posted on social media, Greene expressed her concern about the actions of those in power, accusing them of shredding the Constitution with their actions in the Department of Justice. She emphasized that this is not justice, but rather the greatest injustice and a manifestation of communism in America.
Criticism of Republican Lawmakers and the ”Post-Constitution” State
Greene also criticized Republican lawmakers who claim to stand by the Constitution, suggesting that many people in the country feel like the United States is in a “post-Constitution” state. Her comments were made in response to former Vice President Mike Pence defending his decision not to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
While Pence emphasized his commitment to the Constitution and his refusal to prioritize personal interests over it, Greene argued that a significant number of people believe the country has moved beyond the Constitution.
Renewed Calls for Biden’s Impeachment
Greene recently renewed her calls to impeach President Joe Biden, sponsoring multiple articles of impeachment against him since he took office in January 2021. She introduced the first impeachment resolution against Biden in May, citing a “mountain of evidence” to support her case.
Trump is scheduled to appear in a Washington district court on Thursday for his arraignment. He is expected to plead not guilty to all four charges, marking the third time he has been indicted this year.
