Target Reverses Course, Agrees to Stock Mark Levin’s New Book

Conservative author and radio personality Mark Levin has announced that retail chain Target has changed its mind and will now carry his new book, “The Democrat Party Hates America,” after initially deciding not to sell it.

Levin took to Twitter on Wednesday to share that Target had informed his publisher, Simon & Schuster, of their decision not to stock his book. The book’s premise is that the Democratic Party is actively rewriting history and undermining freedom in America. Target expressed concerns that the title might offend certain customers.

However, on Thursday afternoon, Levin tweeted an update, stating that Target had reversed course and would indeed carry his new book upon its release.

NTD News reached out to Target and Simon & Schuster for comment but did not receive a response from either company at the time of publishing this article.

It remains unclear what prompted Target to change its stance. Nevertheless, several prominent Republican and conservative figures spoke out against Target’s initial decision not to sell the book.

Retired Army Gen. Mike Flynn, who served as a national security adviser to President Donald Trump, wrote, “Let’s give @marklevinshow a big lift here. I’ve read every book he’s written and listen to his show routinely. This is simply another form of censorship. #WeThePeople are going to stand our ground and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH!”

Levin acknowledged his supporters for influencing Target’s decision.

“You folks are an immense force for free speech and market capitalism, and conservative authors and audiences everywhere will benefit from your patriotism,” Levin expressed. “I could not be more proud of you—not only for how this specific case turned out, as there will undoubtedly be more of this—but because you’ve made it clear that you’ve had enough and will exercise your enormous power. The silent majority is silent no longer. I’ll more fully discuss this on radio. God bless and I thank and salute you all.”

Levin’s new book is set to be released on September 19. It serves as a direct follow-up to his 2021 book, “American Marxism.”

“Every legal, legitimate, and appropriate tool and method must be employed in the short- and long-run to defeat the Democrat Party,” Levin emphasized in the book’s description. “The Democrat Party must be resoundingly conquered in the next election and several elections thereafter, or it will become extremely difficult to undo the damage it is unleashing at breakneck pace.”
