Marvel Actor Dumped By Manager, Publicist, And The Met Gala Over Domestic Violence Claims
Marvel actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by his manager, his publicist, and even the upcoming Met Gala over accusations of domestic violence.
Majors, who plays the role of supervillain Kang the Conqueror in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” was arrested and charged with domestic violence in New York City on March 25. Officials stated that the alleged victim had visible minor injuries around her face and neck when the complaint was made.
Since then, according to a report published by entertainment outlet Deadline, talent management group Entertainment 360 has released Majors as a client. The outlet said that the actor’s “personal behavior” was the reason for the split. In addition, public relations firm The Lede Company has also bid Majors farewell.
To make matters even worse, the “Creed III” actor won’t be making his planned appearance at the star-studded Met Gala — which he was supposed to attend as a guest of fashion house Valentino. According to Deadline, Majors and Valentino executives “mutually agreed” that it would be best if he did not attend.
Majors is set to appear in court on May 8 but has already released a statement through attorney Priya Chaudhry declaring his innocence.
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” Chaudhry wrote.

She went on to state that there was video footage from the vehicle in which the altercation allegedly occurred, and said that the accuser — an unnamed 30-year-old woman — had provided two written statements declaring herself to be at fault.
“[The] evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” Chaudhry said.
