Marvel Star Jonathan Majors Releases Text Messages Related to Alleged Domestic Dispute, Supposed Victim Appears to Declare “They Do Not Have My Blessing on Any Charges Being Placed”
Marvel star Jonathan Majors, who was recently charged with multiple counts of assault and harassment following a domestic dispute, has released a series of text messages he believes proves his innocence.
Shared by entertainment news outlet TheWrap on March 30th through an attorney, the texts show the victim declaring her belief that Majors is not guilty of any wrongdoing.
The exchange took place between Majors and the victim on March 25th, around the time of the alleged dispute. In the messages, the victim reassures Majors that he wouldn’t be charged and that she had informed the authorities that she did not want charges pressed. Majors’ attorney claims that these messages should exonerate him of any wrongdoing, but their authenticity has not been independently verified.
Interestingly, these texts were not mentioned in an earlier declaration by Majors’ attorney, which claimed that they had evidence that would exonerate the actor. The evidence included video footage from the vehicle where the supposed dispute took place, witness testimony, and two written statements from the woman recanting her allegations. The attorney insisted that all charges would be dropped soon.
The incident occurred on March 25th in New York City, and the victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck. Majors was later arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault and harassment in relation to the incident.
At present, Majors’ next court appearance in the case is scheduled for May 8th.
