Maxwell’s Brother Says Ghislaine Believes Epstein Was ‘Murdered,’ He Fears For Her Safety

Ian Maxwell revealed last week that he thinks his sister, defendant Ghislaine Maxwell, believes the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was “murdered” in jail. Ian also said he fears for his his sister’s safety, noted that she’s on “suicide watch” when he believes she should not be.

Speaking of his father’s death on the Spectator’s Americano podcast, Ian said Ghislaine, of all his siblings, believes their dad was “murdered,” adding that he thinks she also believes Epstein was “murdered” in jail, the New York Post reported:

“It so happens one of the conspiracy theories about my father is that he was murdered rather than committed suicide or died by accident,” Ian Maxwell told interviewer Freddy Gray.

“Of all my siblings, Ghislaine is the only one who happens to believe he was murdered. I would venture to think that she also thinks that Epstein was murdered.”

Despite speculation to the contrary, the office of the New York City Chief Medical Examiner concluded that Epstein hanged himself while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in August 2019.

Earlier in the podcast, Ian, who maintains his sister’s innocence, complained that Ghislaine is being treated poorly and her “presumption of innocence” was “trashed.”

“She should have never been put on trial,” he said during the podcast. “The case against her is really the case against Jeffrey Epstein that’s been reversed engineered post his death against my sister. It’s been driven from the start by a combination of enormous embarrassment on the part of the U.S. legal authorities, on the one hand, and the greed by the lawyers of the accusers, on the other hand.”

“And that has whipped up a tremendous fury against my sister, that has totally trashed her presumption of innocence and has led to her being jailed for over 525 days — in isolation — treated as guilty before any trial,” he said, noting that she has repeatedly been denied bail.

Asked if he fears for his sister’s “safety,” Ian answered “yes,” noting that Ghislaine has been put on “suicide watch” while he says she should not be.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been accused of procuring underage girls for Epstein and others of abuse, and participating in abuse herself. She is facing six counts relating to sex trafficking minors.

Daily Wire reporter Mairead Elordi, earlier this month, detailed an account from an accuser known as “Jane,” who said on the stand she was courted by Epstein and Maxwell while attending a summer camp in Michigan. Months before the encounter, Jane’s father had died and the family was in financial hurt. Epstein promised to finance Jane’s singing career. At first, the meetings with Jane were accompanied by her mother, but eventually, she was invited to attend alone. Those meet-ups eventually included penetrative sex and orgies, some including both Epstein and Maxwell.
