McConnell discharged from hospital

After sustaining a concussion, and a fractured rib in a fall, Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was discharged from hospital.
McConnell Communications Director David Popp issued a statement Monday.
“Leader McConnell’s concussion recovery is proceeding well and the Leader was discharged from the hospital today,” Popp said.
Popp said that the Republican would be going to an inpatient rehabilitation center for physical therapy.
“At the advice of his physician, the next step will be a period of physical therapy at an inpatient rehabilitation facility before he returns home,” Popp said.
His aide said that although the length of his therapy will be ultimately determined by his doctors, it can vary. “anywhere from a week to two weeks.”
McConnell was hospitalized after he had suffered from a “minor rib fracture” Following a reception at the Senate Leadership Fund, a campaign group aligned to him, during a fall.
He has been the Senate Republican leader since 2007. McConnell also broke the record for longest tenured party leader in Senate history earlier this year.
